This year we headed west to the great sailing arena, Wallyungup, and what a fantastic sailing venue it was. Big fast courses and so many battles on the track that at time, had spectators standing and cheering for the great outcomes. Some races finishing within 100th of a second from one another.

The Victorian squad did pretty good, Russel Whitehouse taking out the Middle Weight Performance division, clear by 2 points, a very close battle that was with the final result settled on the last race. Congratulations Russ, you’ve broken the VooDoo, and now bring home many more mate 🙂

Tim Vance took out 3rd in the Performance heavies, after a battle for 3 days, Tim and Terry Helm were equal 2nd with 40 points each. They had the same number of 1st’s, 2nd’s and 3rd’s after 3 days and the forth day the light winds didn’t favor Tim, and Terry sailed really well to take out the 2nd place.

Trevor Pretty was our third competitor, while finding his stride since losing 15kg, Trevor found himself in battles never experienced before, overall Trevor finished 7th in a very competitive fleet of Performance Heavies.

Congratulations to the Perth Blokart Club on running a fantastic event and making sure everyone was happy.

Thanks to Blokart International for the supply of the trophies.

Next years Nationals will be held by the Capricorn Blokart Club, at Mulumbin Beach.
